American 599 T - Hans Hürlimann
This special American 599 T of Hans Hürlimann is erected on their yard in Hünenberg (CH) but isn't in operation anymore. It is a 40 US-tonne crane.
The 599 could be delivered as crawler crane (599 C) or as a truck crane (599 T) like this one. Standard is the crane mounted on a 4-axle crane carrier, optionally was the crane also available on a 3-axle carrier.
The crane is fitted with two 6.5-tonne hoist winches. The superstructure is powered by a Detroit Diesel 4-71 engine.
The counterweight of the crane weights approx. 9.3 tonnes and has a 3.4 meter tailswing.
Here is the crane erected with a 60' (approx. 18.3 meters) long main boom.
The maximum length of the main boom is 150' (approx. 45.7 meters). With the hook reefed at two lines is the crane able to lift 13.1 tonnes.
