Lifting a boat by Verschoor

Since many years is Verschoor from Sassenheim (NL) taking care of all the lifting jobs which are related to the Hiswa show in the RAI in Amsterdam (NL). Many boats and yachts need to be positioned on the booths. The largest boat that was exhibited on the 2010 show, was transported by this sharp Scania R 620 with 3-axle low loader of Van der Wetering.

To unload the boat were two Grove GMK4100L cranes used. Both cranes are erected next to each other in similar configuration and the boat is hooked on already.

The boat with a mass of approx. 42 tonnes is hanging in both cranes and will be parked on frames.

The outrigger base of the cranes measures 8.344 x 7 meters.

Both main boom are approx. 15 meters long, because of the work within the building and the limited lifting height are the end sensors removed and is special lifting gear used.

Both cranes are fitted with additional filters to reduce the output of dirty exhaust gasses within the building.

The 42-tonne boat is set-up on frames directly behind the cranes. A very sharp crane job by Verschoor!
