Demag AC 300-6 - Gräser Eschbach

The first use of this sharp Demag AC 300-6 of Gräser Eschbach from Mannheim (DE) was on a construction site near Dietmannsried (DE) to install concrete precast elements. It is a crane in the 300-tonne class with year of manufacture 2018, at that time the largest crane in Gräser Eschbach's fleet, today is that a Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1.

The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 473, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 460 kW (625 hp). This crane has the optional 12 x 8 x 12-drive line, where the axles 2, 3, 5 and 6 are powered. The diesel engine in the undercarriage also powers the hydraulic pumps in the superstructure.

The full outrigger base of the crane measures 8.69 x 8.48 meters.

Here was the crane erected with 71.8 tonnes of counterweight, the counterweight has a 5.6 meter tailswing.

To complete the counterweight are these two hang-on slabs with each 11 tonnes required. The full counterweight has a mass of 93.8 tonnes.

Since Demag was overtaken by Tadano is this type of crane sold as Tadano AC 6.300-1.

The cabin on the superstructure is 16 degrees tiltable.

The 7-part main boom has a 14.5 meter base length and extends six times to a maxmium length of 80 meters. The crane only has five sheaves in the main boom head, the crane can lift with 10 part lines maximum 113 tonnes.

Unfortunately was the crane surrounded by construction materials for a good overview. A sharp crane by Gräser Eschbach!
