Grove GMK4070 - Evertz

Evertz from Goirle (NL) owned this sharp Grove GMK4070. It is a 70-tonne crane with year of manufacture 1997, the crane came in 2001 used to Evertz and the crane was exported in 2018. The crane was used here to erect a roller coaster on the fair in Hoorn (NL).

The crane is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 442 A, an 8-cylinder watercooled diesel engine with a power of 250 kW (350 pk). The crane has an 8 x 6 x 8-drive line.

The outrigger base measures 8.15 x 7.2 meters.

Packed is the crane 13.25 meters long, 2.75 meters wide and 3.7 meters high. The transport mass is around 48 tonnes.

The counterweight weights 13.4 tonnes and has a 3.5 meter tailswing. The lower three slabs are during transport over the road put down on the undercarriage.

The main boom has a 11.6 meter base length and extends three times up to a 38.1 meter length. On the maximum radius of 34 meters the crane can stil lift 1.7 tonnes.

A 10 or 16-meter long bi-fold swingaway jib is hanging next to the base section and takes care of a maximum hook height of around 52 meters. The folding jib is under 0, 16 or 30 degrees mountable.
