Grove GMK6300L - Feldmann

Feldmann showed during their open day this very sharp Grove GMK6300L, it is one of the largest cranes in their fleet; the largest crane is a Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1.

It is a 300 tonne crane on a 6 axle under carriage. The main boom has an 80 meter length and can lift with fully extended boom still 12 tonnes. The main boom can be extended by a folding jib with a maximum length of 29 meters.

The outrigger base measures 8.7 x 8.5 meters, or half 8.7 x 6.3 meters.

Packed has this crane a 17.58 meter length, a 2.97 meter breadth and a 4 meter height. The transport mass is around 72 tonnes.

The cab is approx. 20 degrees tiltable.

The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM502 LA, an 8 cylinder diesel engine with 551 hp. This crane has the optional 12 x 8 x 12 drive; 4 axles are driven and all axles are steerable.

The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 926 LA, a 6 cylinder diesel engine with 268 hp.

For the open day the counterweight wasn't assembled. The complete counterweight weights 92.5 tonnes and has a 5.5 meter tailswing.
