Hitachi KH100 - Van den Berg

This interesting Hitachi KH100 of Van den Berg from Westknollendam (NL) was used to pull sheet piles out of the ground on a smaller construction site in Opmeer (NL). In the crane is hanging an ICE 14RF vibrator.

It is a 30-tonne crawler crane that is mainly used for pile driving jobs. The crane is powered by a Hino H06C-T, a water cooled 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 110 kW (150 hp). The diesel engine powers in total four hydraulic pumps.

The crane was fitted here with a 22 meter long main boom. The base boom has a 10 meter length and can be extended with 3 and 6 meter boom sections to a total length of 34 meters.

The undercarriage is 4.49 meters long and 3.3 meters wide. The undercarriage isn't adjustable in breadth. The crane has an operational mass of approx. 33 tonnes.

Attached to the superstructure is a counterweight with a mass of 8.8 tonnes, the tailswing of the counterweight is 3.5 meters.

The crane is fitted with two 5-tonne hoist winches.

An interesting crane of Van den Berg!
