Liebherr LR 1400/2 - Weldex
This Liebherr LR 1400/2 of Weldex was parked for some weeks on Liebherr's yard in Amersfoort (NL).
It is a 400 tonne crawler crane with year of manufacture 2003.
The counterweight is made out of a 15 tonne baseplate and thereon in total 12 slabs of 10 tonnes, which makes 135 tonnes. The tail swing is 7.18 meters.
Between the tracks is another 43 tonnes of lower weights mounted.
This crane is tooled with a Quick Connection (QC) slewing platform. During transport over the road it is possible to separate the upperstructure and the centre section. The parts weight then resp. 33 and 17.5 tonnes. The QC makes the superstructure almost 30 centimeters heigher. In front of the superstructure it is possible to mount extra swing motors.
In the boom foots are the adjustment winches mounted for the main boom (in the derrick) and the luffing jib (in the main boom).
The tracks are 10.4 meters long, 1.2 meters wide and 1.6 meters height. Mass each is 27.7 tonnes.
In the superstructure are three winches mounted, the adjustment line for the derrick boom (or the main boom) and two hoist winches with a 12 tonne line pull.
Fitted with a 28 meter derrick boom and 42 meters of main boom. In superlift the LR 1400/2 can be fitted with a 119 meter main boom.
Later this crane has been traded by PVE.
