Liebherr HS 895 HD - Wiedemann

The largest heavy duty crane that Wiedemann from Jettingen Scheppach (DE) is using is this 200 tonne Liebherr HS 895 HD, here on a gravel pit near Leipheim (DE).

It is a 200 tonne heavy duty crane that is developed for the operation with a bucket or a grab. This machine has year of manufacture 2015 and is here at it's first job site.

The machine is powered by a MAN D 2842 LE diesel engine with 898 hp.

A detail of the large fair lead. The fair lead guides the pulling cable and takes care for a better rope angle to the drum.

The crawler are 9.36 meter long, 1.45 meter wide and 1.61 meters high. The weight each is 25.5 tonnes and are during transport over the road separated from the base machine.

The crane is here in operation with a 7 cubic meter bucket.

The undercarriage is 6.8 meters wide.

The counterweight has a total weight of 55.1 tonnes and has a 6.3 meter tailswing.

The main boom has a 20 meter base length and a maximum length of 84.2 meters. During this job the crane was in operation with a 40.4 meter jib.
