Menck M 152

This inactive Menck M 152 could be photographed near a gravel pit in the area of Dingolfing (DE). The crane's year of manufacture is 1950.

The crane is powered by a watercooled 4-cylinder Deutz diesel engine with 155 hp.

The original counterweight weights approx. 7.3 tonnes and was reinforced with a couple of rail beams.

The M 152 was built between 1949 and 1961 in totaal 496 times. The M 152 came as the succesor of the M 150 and was replaced by the M 154.

The original undercarriage with four rollers are replaced by the undercarriage of a Menck M 154 with five rollers. The undercarriage is 4.35 meters long and the track plates are 0.68 meters wide.

This crane was used many years with a bucket to dig gravel. From the factory could the M 152 be used with a maximum 1.75 cubic meter bucket. Optionally the M 152 was also available with a face shovel.

Not only the undercarriage, but also the boom of a M 154 was used here.
