Tadano ATF 400G-6 - Scholpp

Scholpp from Stuttgart (DE) was using their Tadano ATF 400G-6 by the assembly of the tunnel boring machine along the highway 8 near Kirchheim unter Teck (DE).

It is a 400-tonne crane mounted on a 6-axle carrier. In transport mode is the crane 17.9 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. The transport mass is around 72 tonnes.

The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 480 kW (653 hp). The crane has a 12x8x12-drive line, where four of the six axles are powered and all axles are steerable.

The outrigger base measures 8.8 x 8.5 meters.

Here is the crane fitted with 98 tonnes of counterweight, that has a 5.6 meter tailswing. The full counterweight weights 138 tonnes. Between the two stacks is the luffing winch for the luffing jib visible, the luffing jib has a maximum length of 76 meters.

The main boom has a 15 meter base length and extends four times to a maximum length of 60 meters. On the photo is the main boom 30.2 meters extended, the crane can lift in this configuration maximum 139 tonnes up to 6 meter radius or 26.9 tonnes to a 28 meter radius, in case the required minimum amount of falls is reeved.
