Terex RC 35 - Luyt

Machine factory Luyt from Den Oever (NL) is operating this interesting Terex RC 35 that she is using for various lifting jobs. The crane's year of manufactur is 2009. The crane came to Luyt as a replacement for a 30-tonne Kato crane.

It is a 35-tonne rough-terrein crane on a 2 axle carrier. The crane is with horizontal boom 11.75 meters long, 3.39 meters high and 2.55 meters wide. The undercarriage itself is only 6.68 meters long. Between the axles are the large oil tank and two compresses-air tanks installed.

The crane is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 119 kW. Both axles are powered and are steerable. The suprtstructure is also powered by the engine in the undercarriage.

The outrigger base of the crane measures 5.98 x 5.83 meters. The total mass of the crane is 27.7 tonnes.

On the other side are between the axles the dieseltank and a storage compartment made.

Attached to the superstructure is 5.5 tonnes of counterweight, that has a 3.63 meter tailswing. The crane has a 4-tonne hoist winch with a 15 mm hoist cable.

The Terex RC cranes are produced in Italy. This factory was founded in 1968 by Bendini in Crespellano (IT) and came in 1989 in hands of PPM that took over Bendini. In 1995 was PPM taken over by Terex and the factory came in Terex' hands who is still producing cranes in that location.

The main boom has a 9.9 meter base length and extends three times to a full length of 30.9 meters. The main boom can be extended by a 8/15 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib.

An interesting and very rare crane in the Netherlands!
