Liebherr LB 36 - Max Bögl

A Liebherr LB 36 drilling rig of Max Bögl from Neumarkt (DE) used by drilling piles for a new parking.

It is a 115 tonne machine that is only used by (kelly) drilling. It was for years the biggest drilling rig in the Liebherr program, but now is that the LB 44. The machine has a Liebherr D 846 L A7 diesel engine with 476 hp. With them are three hydropumps driven. In the rear is hanging 20.5 tonnes of counterweight.

The tracks are 6.41 meters long and the undercarriage is 5.15 meters wide. The trackplates have a width of one meter. By the transport over the road are the tracks retrackted, the rig is then still 3.6 meters wide.

Here was drilled with a help tube, making a supporting liquid unnecessary. With a drill is the tube drilled empty. To drill- and undrill the help tube into the ground is a ABF-Pneumat pressure tube in use, with them is the tupe automatically attached which saves time.

On the leader are three winches made, a hoist (kelly) winch, an assist winch and a pull-down winch. The leader has a length of about 25 meters.

An overview of the complete rig.

During I was taking photos the drilled hole was filled with concrete.
