Grove GMK5200 - Schot
The second time I saw this crane it was working with all counterweight and completely extended boom.
It was a simple job. Only lift the basket near the Mc. Donalds-pole in the background. Because the distance was very big, this crane was necessary.
if they are askin' you to join them in the basket, you will say yes! Here on 30 meters heigh and 55 meters radius.
The crane from above.
The upperstructure cab of the Grove seen from inside, with in the right the display.
Also the sun was available this afternoon.
The Mc. Donalds-pole was cleaned and the lights are updated.
A beter view of the counterweight, total 64 tons. The side-pieces weight 10 tons each.
At the end of the day the crane got disassambled, here the 4 cylinders are coming out of the counterweight.
Which could be loaded to the trailer.
This is the ballast truck, a Mercedes Actros 3353 with a 6 axle ballast trailer.
Here you can see the format of the trailer. First the outrigger pads, then the counterweight plates, the side pieces counterweight with in the front a box with
lifting tools and two hookblocks.
A very beautiful combination.
The crane in transportation mode.
The baseplate counterweight stays on the undercarriage during road transport.
A beter view on the huge boomhead.
Here the crane is nicelly steered, I want to thank the workers from Schot for their kindness!
