DAF XF 460 - Mayer

The sharp DAF XF 460 of Mayer from Burgberg (DE) stood along the motor way 9 with an oversized cargo on a 2-axle low loader.

It is a DAF XF from the last generation that was introduced in 2012 and is delivered since 2013. The truck is powered by a Paccar MX-13, a 12.9 liter 6 cylinder diesel engine, that supplies here 460 hp.

The truck has a 6x2-drive line where only the last axle is powered. The second axle is lift- and steerable. Behind the front axle is the large Euro 6 muffler installed.

On the other side is behind the front axle the dieseltank installed. Behind the cabin is an hydraulic oil tank installed.

Attached is a 2-axle Nooteboom low loader with girder bridge to reduce the transport height to a minimum. Usually the tanks don't have a large mass, therefore is the volume usually large so that the transport is only allowed to travel during night time under escort.
