Kenworth K100 - Skyliners

This sharp Kenworth K100 of Skyliners from Leudelange (LU) is primairy used to transport counterweight for their Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1. It is an used truck of Feller from Luxembourg, which explains the noteable green compared to the white of the cranes.

The K100 was produced between 1963 and 2003. The letter "K" stands for "Kent", to one of the founders of Kenworth. The truck is powered by a Cummins NTC300, a 14-liter diesel engine with 300 hp.

Behind the front axle are the diesel tank and the hydraulic oil tank installed. A sharp detail are the two large vertically installed exhausts behind the cabin.

Often is the truck with this 5-axle flat bed trailer by MAX Trailer on the move, the trailer is loaded with 40 tonnes of counterweight (four slabs with each 10 tonnes) and a set of outrigger plates.
