Scania 124 G 500 - Holtrop Van der Vlist

For the transport of a windmill hub (the part where the blades are attached to) was Holtrop van der Vlist hired. The combination is loaded here by a Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 of Mammoet.

The combination is composed out of a 5 axle Scania truck and a 7 axle lowloader.

The truck's two rear axles are driven, the three in the front are steered. Notice that the cab heigth is hardly heigher than the gooseneck.

A detail of the 2 axle jeepdolly. Between the jeepdolly and the gooseneck of the trailer is some kind of a slewing ring. The combination can not with out jeepdolly being used.

The last 5 axles are from the type Pendel-X and have a payload of 13.4 tonnes per axle. The hub weights about 60 tonnes.

Because below the cab wasn't enough space, a bigger radiator was placed behind the cab. Next to the big fueltank.

Usually is this combination used to drive big construction machinery.
