Transport of silos by Mayer

... this DAF XF 460, also with a 2-axle low loader. The silos both have a 5.6 meter diameter. That should be an interesting transport over the road in the next couple of hours.
Around 09:30 PM is the transport allowed to drive under (police) escort.
Because of the dimensions is the transport required to drive over many smaller country roads, for the motorway is the transport to tall. The transport has reached the village Krugzell (DE) now.
In Altusried (DE) was decided to take one roundabout against the usual traffic flow.
In advance were some of the traffic signs removed already to reduce the delay for the transport as much as possible.
The first silo is 13 meters long and 5.6 meter in diameter.
The second silo is 16 meters long and 5.6 meters in diameter.
In Leutkirch (DE) was it time for the aerial lift and the chainsaw to come into action to quickly remove some low hanging branches.
The combination with the Volvo is 26 meters long, 5.6 meters wide and 5.85 meters tall. The total mass is 41.8 tonnes.
In the meantime is it 01:45 AM, the transport has driven now 30 kilometers in 4 hours.
A sharp turn into the Memminger Straße (still in Leutkirch).
In Niederhofen (DE) was it required to remove some traffic signs temporary.
Another nice sharp turn for the Volvo.
The transport has now reached the village of Rot an der Rot (DE), it is now 03:40 AM and the transport has driven 57 kilometers.
The transport would require another couple of nights to reach the destination.
