Grove GTK1100 - Wiesbauer

Some maintenance was necessary for the wings of the windturbine, reasons enough to lift it to groundlevel.

What do I have to say, sometimes it is about it, sometimes it is against it. I knew that day it was about it!

The GTK is proper to see, from above. The rotor is disconnected here.

Also the sun was short available. The rotor will be lifted at 16,2 meter radius.

The 55 tonne rotor is hanging in the crane here.

After the rotor is lifted, the crane swings. The lifting was necessary to avoid a crash with the pendants!

It is getting dark, it starts to rain and blow. Luckily the rotor is just on time on the ground. It is tailed here.

Some days later I visited the crane again. Here the tower is sliding inwards.

Finally the tower is completly slided inwards, this takes about 40 minutes.

Now it was more easier to photograph the upperstucture. The max. lifting capacity is 95 tons.

There are many ideas with this crane. In the future it will be possible to perform this crane with 60 tons of counterweight.
