Coles Hydramobile 920
This interesting Coles Hydramobile 920 from the year of manufacture 1986 was parked in a storage yard.
The crane stands on a 2-axle wheeled carrier in order to move around the yard. For crane operation, the crane has to be supported by means of the outriggers. The crane is powered by a Ford 2715E, a 6.2-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine. The carrier has 4x2 drive.
It is an 18-tonne crane; this load can be lifted at a maximum radius of 3 metres.
During crane operation, the crane has to be outrigged. The outriggers are operated from a small control box mounted on both sides of the carrier.
The two-section boom telescopes once to a maximum length of 13.7 metres.
