These two attractive and refurbished Grove GMK6300 telescopic cranes were parked on the yard of Sin Heng in Singapore (SG). They are 300-ton cranes mounted on a 6-axle carrier.

In transport mode the GMK6300 is 18.05 metres long, 2.98 metres wide and 3.95 metres high. The transport weight in this configuration is approximately 72 tonnes.

The carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 420 kW (571 hp). The crane has a 12x6x12 drive configuration, with axles 1, 4 and 5 driven. All axles are steerable.

The five-section main boom has a base length of 15.5 metres and telescopes four times to a maximum length of 60 metres. The main boom can be extended by means of an 11–19 metre folding jib. The jib can be mounted to the main boom at an angle of 5 or 30 degrees.

The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 906 LA, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 190 kW (258 hp). This diesel engine drives four hydraulic pumps in total, which operate the crane functions.

The outrigger base measures 8.7 x 8.5 metres, or half 8.7 x 6 metres.

A maximum of 100 tonnes of counterweight can be installed on the superstructure, with a slewing radius of 5.58 metres. The crane is equipped with an 11-ton hoist winch using 24 mm hoist rope. A second winch can optionally be installed on the superstructure.

Two very attractive cranes from Sin Heng!
