IHI CCH800-2

Pollisum

This interesting IHI CCH800-2 belonged to Pollisum from Singapore (SG) and was standing erected on their own premises. It is an 80-tonne crawler crane.

The crane is powered by a Hino ET100T, an 8.8-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 169 kW (230 hp). This diesel engine drives a total of three hydraulic pumps.

The carrier is 6.37 metres long and 4.8 metres wide. For transport on public roads, the width of the carrier can be reduced to 3.66 metres. A single crawler track is 0.915 metres wide and 1.11 metres high.

A four-part ballast with a total weight of 25 tonnes is mounted on the superstructure, and it has a swing radius of 4.3 metres.

In working position, the A-frame has a total height of 6.42 metres; it can be folded down to reduce the transport height.

The crane is equipped with two 10-tonne hoist winches with 26 mm hoist rope.

The main boom has a base length of 13 metres and can be extended in 3-metre increments to a maximum length of 55 metres. Optionally, the main boom can be extended with a fixed jib; this jib can be a maximum of 22 metres long and can be combined with a main boom of up to 49 metres in length.

Here, the crane was erected with a 37-metre main boom. In this configuration, the crane can lift a maximum of 28.7 tonnes at a radius of 8 metres or 3.9 tonnes up to a radius of 32 metres.

A fine crane from Pollisum! In the meantime, this crane was exported to another country.
