Liebherr LR 1100

Nederhoff

Nederhoff from Gouda (NL) operates four of these fine Liebherr LR 1100 crawler cranes. This crane was deployed during the extension of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (NL). It is a 100-tonne crawler crane.

The carrier of the crane is 6.46 metres long and 5.15 metres wide. For transport on public roads, the width of the carrier can be reduced to 3.5 metres. The crane is powered by a Liebherr D 936 L A6, a 10.5-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 270 kW (367 hp).

A total of 15 tonnes of central ballast is mounted on the carrier, one block of 7.5 tonnes on each side. A total of 32.3 tonnes of ballast is mounted on the superstructure, consisting of a base plate of 17.3 tonnes and ten blocks of 1.5 tonnes each. The ballast has a swing radius of 4.7 metres.

Here, the crane was erected with a 17-metre main boom and a 26-metre luffing jib.

The luffing jib has a base length of 14 metres and can be extended in steps of 3 metres to a maximum length of 62 metres.

The crane was working from a temporary bridge that had been constructed over the excavation. This bridge was approximately 10 metres high.

A very fine crane and a special operation by Nederhoff!
