In 2020, Peck Tiong Choon from Singapore (SG) commissioned this impressive Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1. It is a 230-tonne crane mounted on a 5-axle carrier. Here, the crane was deployed at a storage yard to lift components of a tower crane.

The crane is powered by a Liebherr 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 400 kW (544 hp). The diesel engine drives both the superstructure and the carrier.

The outrigger base measures 9.35 x 7.4 meters (front) and 8.1 meters (rear).

Here, the crane was operated with 47 tonnes of counterweight. The full counterweight weighs 72 tonnes. The counterweight can be mounted on the superstructure in two different positions, with a slewing radius of 4.83 meters or 5.73 meters. Here, the counterweight was positioned on the larger slewing radius.

The eight-section main boom has a base length of 12.7 meters and telescopes seven times to a maximum length of 75 meters. Here, the main boom is extended to a length of 32.9 meters.

Optionally, the main boom can be extended with a 11.5 - 20 meter folding jib. The jib is hydraulically adjustable to an angle between 0 and 40 degrees.

This is the first ballast truck, which carries a total of 40 tonnes of counterweight.

On the crane itself, a 12-tonne ballast plate and the outrigger pads are carried.

In transport configuration, the crane is 16.54 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. In this configuration, the total weight of the crane is approximately 75 tonnes.

A very impressive crane of Peck Tiong Choon!
