For the expansion of a data centre, a large number of building materials had to be lifted onto the roof. In order to carry out this job, the Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 of Sante from Singapore (SG) was deployed with jib.

This configuration is called TY3ENZF by Liebherr; on the long guyed main boom, a hydraulically luffing jib is mounted. The main boom is 68.1 metres long here.

In this configuration, the jib has a base length of 6 metres and a maximum length of 56 metres. Here, the jib is 35 metres long and can be freely luffed hydraulically in relation to the main boom within a range between 0 and 40 degrees.

The crane was erected on a closed-off road.

The carrier is powered by a Liebherr 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 505 kW (686 hp). Axles 1, 2, 4 and 5 are driven, and axles 1 to 4, 7 and 8 are steerable.

The outrigger base of the crane measures 10 x 9.6 metres, and the half base measures 10 x 6.25 metres.

Here, the crane was erected with 105 tonnes of ballast, consisting of a 15-tonne base plate and six identical ballast slabs of 15 tonnes each. The ballast can be increased to 165 tonnes with another four blocks of 15 tonnes each. The ballast has a swing radius of 6.6 metres. The coupling frame with the winch for the luffing jib weighs approximately 21.5 tonnes, but is generally not counted as ballast weight.

The seven-section main boom has a base length of 16.1 metres and telescopes six times to a maximum length of 84 metres. Here, the main boom was telescoped to a length of 68.1 metres; the jib can be a maximum of 56 metres long. In this configuration, the main boom could also be telescoped to a maximum of 78.6 metres; the jib would then still be a maximum of 42 metres long.

Two hydraulic cylinders are used for luffing the jib. These are controlled via hydraulic lines from a cable drum on the base section.

That day, various lighter building materials were lifted from the ground to the roof of the building.

In the configuration shown, the crane has a minimum radius of 22 metres, where 22.6 tonnes can be lifted. The maximum radius is 86 metres, where 2 tonnes can still be lifted.

A magnificent crane and operation by Sante!
