Transport of a steam train by Yew Choon

Approximately 2.5 years later, the steam train would leave Singapore again. Yew Choon was involved once more, but this time to transport the train back to the port. Here, we see the heaviest carriage, weighing 53 tonnes, loaded on a 12-axle Goldhofer modular trailer, hauled by a Scania R 620.

The second carriage, which at 40.5 tonnes is slightly lighter, was loaded on a 9-axle Goldhofer modular trailer. This trailer was hauled by the other Scania R 620.

Both carriages are approximately 150 years old. At the port, they would be prepared for further transport.

Escorted by the Certis Auxiliary Police, the convoy consisting of two combinations will travel from Gardens by the Bay to the port. It is now approximately 9:00 PM.

The locomotive and tender had already been transported to the port at another time. Here, the first combination leaves the parking area. The exit was primarily designed for cars and the truck clearly requires more space. Therefore, the Auxiliary Police temporarily close the road.

A fine and special transport carried out by Yew Choon!
