Kato

Kato was founded in 1895 as Kato Iron Works and was building in the beginning mainly rail vehicles. In 1935 was the current Kato Works Co. Ltd. founded, that is today still operative under the supervision of the Kato-family. Kato is producing today mainly various crane types up to 300 tonnes lifting capacity, excavators and road sweepers. In 2016 was the production of crawler cranes from IHI overtaken by Kato. The production facilities are in Japan, China and Thailand and employs approx. 750 employees.
