Tadano GS-600EX - Hiap Heng

This Tadano GS-600EX belongs to Hiap Heng from Singapore (SG). It is a 60-tonne superstructure of a rough-terrein crane mounted on a 4-axle truck chassis. It is a used crane of Yong Xian Construction, also from Singapore.

The crane is mounted on a Scania P 360 chassis with 8x4-drive line. The undercarriage is powered by a Scania DC13, a 12.7-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 265 kW (360 hp). Both 16-tonne rear axles are driven, both 9-tonne front axles are steerable.

The K-shapped outrigger base measures complete 7 x 7 meters, or half 6.5 x 5.1 meters. The front outriggers swing out approx. 120 degrees and are extenable. Below the outrigger is the diesel tank mounted.

Attached to the superstructure remains 4.63 tonnes of counterweight, the counterweight has a 3.65 meter tailswing. The superstructure is fitted with two 5.6-tonne hoist winches, both are here in operation.

The 5-part main boom has an 11.5 meter base length and extends four times to a maximum length of 42 meters.

The main boom can be extended by an 8.8 - 15.2 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib, the jib is stored next to the main boom during the transport over the road.

Multiple units of the crane type are active in Singapore! An interesting crane of Tadano!
