This fine Hitachi CX550 belongs to A.Hak from Tricht (NL) and was deployed on a job in Opperdoes (NL). It is a 55-tonne crawler crane.

The crane is powered by a Hino H07 CT, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 132.4 kW (180 hp).

The crane's carrier is 5.55 metres long and 4.36 metres wide. For transport on public roads, the width can be reduced to 3.3 metres.

A total of 18.7 tonnes of ballast is mounted on the superstructure. The ballast has a swing radius of 3.8 metres.

The crane is equipped with two 6.5-tonne hoist winches, and both winches are in use here.

The main boom has a base length of 10 metres and can be extended in 3-metre increments to a maximum length of 52 metres.

Here, the crane was erected with a 25-metre main boom. In this configuration, the crane can lift a maximum of 26.3 tonnes at a radius of 6.1 metres or 4.45 tonnes at a radius of up to 22.8 metres. A very fine crane of A.Hak!
