Tadano ATF 400G-6 - Mayer

For the construction of a tunnel below a railway in the area of Rammingen (DE) was this sharp Tadano ATF 400G-6 of Mayer from Burgberg (DE) used. The works were continued for the whole night and day, early in the morning was the crane starting to install the heavy precast concrete elements.

The maximum 60 meter long main boom is here extended to 35.3 meters. The precast elements are unloaded from the trucks and temporary stored on the construction site.

The outrigger base measures 8.9 x 8.5 meters.

The delivery of precast elements was done by Glass from Mindelheim (DE), they were deploying this sharp Mercedes-Benz Actros 2655 and a Mercedes-Benz Actros 2658.

The precast concrete elements have each a mass of 27.4 tonnes.

Here was the crane fitted with 118 tonnes of counterweight, the coutnerweight has a 5.6 meter tailswing.

In this configuration is the crane able to position these 27.4 tonne elements to a radius of approx. 31 meters.

Two elements had to be lifted over the railway for the installation on the other side of the tunnel, the excavator is already in position to do all the ground works. A very nice job by Mayer!
